Longueville House, a Georgian Mansion home in the centre of a 500 acre wooded estate, overlooks the Blackwater Valley also known as the Irish Rhine, and parts of the house date back to 1720. Guests have the choice between The Presidents' Restaurant where guests partake of the fresh produce from the Estate's farm, gardens & river or The Turner Conservatory a very fine Victorian conservatory of curved ironwork constructed in 1866 by Richard Turner, the greatest ironmaster and designer of glasshouses of the Victorian era, which provides a wonderful setting for dining in style in intimate surroundings.
Hunting with The Duhallows - Hunting with The Duhallow Hunt Club, one of the oldest hunts in Europe can be very easily arranged here at Longueville House. The hunting season begins in mid-November and continues until late February / early March annually. The Duhallows hunt each Monday, Wednesday & Saturday. Dress code for visitors is black/navy hunting coat, black/navy riding hat, hunting britches and black boots. Advance notice is required for bookings.
