The Links Ltd., herein known as the company, would strongly request that
each group travelling designate one person as liaison and we will appoint
one of our professional group/individual specialists. It is also strongly
suggested that all travelling with the company should read these terms
and conditions before confirming their place on a trip. It is the clients’
responsibility to be fully briefed on these Terms and Conditions. The
company will work tirelessly and expeditiously on your schedule from beginning
to end, seeing it through to fruition. The group designate must have responsibility
and authority to make and direct all decisions affecting the tour. The
company recommends eight to 12 months lead time for planning a tour. Leave
adequate time to build the group, collect the money, send deposits and
final payments in accordance with terms and conditions laid out. The company
welcomes all groups of any size with Group rates starting at 20 paid people.
Accommodations
The company constantly assesses and reassesses on a yearly basis all accommodations
recommended. Standards are set at a minimum of three stars regulated by
the AA and RAC. Inclusive of package is a bath/shower and full breakfast
with accommodations segmented into Luxury Hotels, Manors and Castles and
Country Houses of Character. All three designated areas will cover the
spectrum of three, four and five star quality standards. Should any accommodation
not be available after your quotation, an alternative of similar standard
will be offered. Each accommodation selected will have a scaled standard
of room luxury with incremental costs as the scale increases, please state
clearly the standard you require and we will do our utmost to match your
request.
Rental
Cars
Rental day is 24 hours (+2 hours grace period for returns) and includes
unlimited mileage; Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP),
3rd Party Insurance & Tax @ 13.5% in Southern Ireland / 17.5% in Northern
Ireland and the U.K where applicable. Deposit amounts are required at
the rental desk for CDW excess & fuel deposit. A valid credit card
is required in all cases. Rental car process does not include insurance
excess liabilities, local airport taxes, delivery & collection charges,
diesel or petrol costs, personal accident insurance or personal effects
cover. Airport / Location service charge is additional plus tax per rental,
payable at counter. Optional insurances are sold directly to renter only
with driver and baggage protection per day. Rental rate is determined
by rental commencement date. All drivers must present a full and clean
driving licence, valid for at least 1 year at time of rental. Provisional
/ learner drivers or seriously endorsed licence holders are not eligible
to rent a car. There is a daily/weekly fee for each additional driver:
please ask for details. Age limits apply with minimum requirements: 23/25
years; incurs young driver surcharge per day including Damage excess.
Maximum 79 years; surcharges apply.
Coach/Car & Driver Guide
Includes driver's eight-hour salary, daily hire of car or coach, fuel
expenses & driver expenses. Rates are applied to relevant vehicle
for a maximum of eight hours per day to comply with the Department of
Transport Regulations as set out by the law of the land. Additional hours
will be invoiced per hour. The customer is liable for all damages to the
vehicle.
Deposit
& Final Payments
A non-refundable deposit per person is required to confirm acceptance
of proposed itinerary. Exact deposit fees will be stated in the final
proposal and are subject to individual customised itineraries. Only on
receipt of all deposits from all parties travelling will the customised
tour be confirmed and all items included within a proposed itinerary are
subject to availability at the time of deposit receipt. Final invoice
balance is due 65 days prior to departure. It is the clients responsibility
to ensure that the company receives notice or monies by due date. Payments
can be made by Cheque, International Wire Transfer, Bank Draft, or Credit
Card: (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). An administration charge
of 3% is levied against all credit card transactions. Payment of deposit
or full payment constitutes compliance with all terms stated herewith.
Cancellation
Policy
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing with authorised signature
of client(s) after initial notification by phone. Written notification
will only be accepted by facsimile or Registered Post to the company Head
Quarters. The following are strict divisions setting out refund parameters
should the client confirm the tour be cancelled for any reason. Depending
upon when a trip is cancelled, hotels and golf courses may also levy cancellation
charges if room(s) cannot be re-sold. We highly recommend taking out personal
trip cancellation/ insurance. If the company cancels a trip, all deposits
and payments are refunded in full.
Cancelling
your trip:
Deposits are non-refundable.
Within the division of 51 days to 65 days before official travel date
– incurs 30% of full cost non-refundable *.
Within the division of 31 days to 51 days before travel date – incurs
50% of full cost non-refundable *.
Within the division of 31 days to 17 days before travel date – incurs
75% of full cost non-refundable *.
Within 17 days of travel date, total cost of tour is non-refundable.
* : Plus any non-refundable deposits made on the client's behalf.
Changes
Unlike
most of our competitors, we do not charge an administrative fee for changes
you make to an itinerary prior to due date of full payment. We consider
this an important part of our job please bear in mind that we will do
our utmost to make changes as you request but we cannot guarantee they
will happen depending on availability. However incomplete use of confirmed
services in a published itinerary or part there of are non-refundable
and non-transferable. Once the proposal is confirmed we have made firm
bookings on your behalf, changes will not be made.
Disclaimer
The company has secured contracts with independent suppliers
of hotel accommodations, car or coach rental, golf tee times, and other
services provided in the individual itinerary with the booking of accommodation
or golf or land travel details on the client(s) behalf upon the condition
and agreement that the company accepts no responsibility or liability
for any negligent acts and / or omissions by these independent contractors,
their employees, agents or representatives.The company or any of its agents
or employees, shall not be held liable for; and by accepting these terms
the customer waives any claim against all such parties for; any loss of
or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of any
defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission of, or any failure
of performance of any kind by; any other transportation conveyer; vendor,
or supplier; delayed departure, airline lockouts, missed connections,
substitutions of accommodations, terminations of service, or change in
fares or rates. The company, any of it’s agents or employees will
accept no responsibility or liability in respect for either person or
property, for any loss, damage, injury, accident, any cancellation or
double booking of reservations or tickets, delay or irregularity during
any packaged trip booked through the compant.The company does not accept
responsibility for loss, damage or any extra expense however incurred
by the client(s). The client(s) by submitting deposit(s) and or full payment(s)
put into operation the company services and by so doing recognises and
fully accepts the legal standpoint of the company put forth above and
below and further more unreservedly accepts that the company will not
be responsible or held accountable in anyway regarding the arrangements
on the client(s) behalf. The company cannot be held responsible for circumstances
amounting to Force Majeur; acts of God, adverse weather, strikes, quarantines,
travel delays, sickness, criminal acts, acts of war, pilferage, government
restrictions, labour disputes, machine breakdown or anything resembling
such which are clearly beyond the companies control. Any expenses incurred
are the sole responsibility of each customer affected. The company reserves
the right to cancel an escorted trip, change, modify, add or remove any
component of any service including but not limited to substitution of
facilities in similar class and/or change the price for any reason without
notice.
Web Policy
This
Site is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy,
distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create
derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information or service found
on or obtained from the Site . Any reproduction or use of any of the contents
of this site without the express written consent of the company, is prohibited.
At any time make changes to the products and programs described in the
Site and without notice or liability. Please check periodically for changes.
Your continued use and/or access to this Site following changes to this
policy and/or conditions will mean that you accept those changes. As a
condition of your use of this Site, you warrant to the company that you
will not use the Site for a purpose that is unlawful set out by these
terms and conditions.
Travel Pack
An
information pack detailing specific points and descriptions on all relevant
sections of the agreed confirmed schedule will be forwarded to the designated
client after all final payments have been received. The Info-pack will
include local knowledge info sheets, maps, historical, sociological and
geographical points of interest specific to the regions, golf clubs and
accommodations being visited. Checklists covering all essential and non-essential
items that are worth remembering to bring.
Travel Insurance
The company recommends that you the client obtain personal accident
and baggage travel insurance. The company accepts no responsibility for
any valuables, luggage, documents or any personal items of value lost
during the course of the tour.
Handicap Requirements
The company advises all clients to carry a handicap certificate,
letter of introduction from your club secretary as golf clubs always reserve
the right to see proof of ability and good standing. Golf clubs in Ireland
and The United Kingdom may reserve the right to refuse admission. General
maximum accepted standards are 36 handicap for women and 24 for men; please
enquire as standards vary from course to course.
Caddies
The company will request caddies at each and every golf club
where available based on the express wishes of the authorised client speaking
on behalf of the group. Individual requests will be catered for where
feasible. Make sure to let your intentions on this issue be made known
to your tour specialist upon booking. Caddy fees are a surcharge and the
sole responsibility of the client on the day and each day of playing golf
at the respective golf clubs laid out in the confirmed itinerary. The
company does not accept responsibility for caddy services as caddies are
not directly employed by the respective golf clubs and it is the caddie’s
responsibility to arrive at the correct time.
Meet
& Greet
The tour specialist or a representative of the company will meet
your tour on arrival. A company representative will contact each tour
group during the course of their travels to ensure service standards are
met and any details or requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
At all times during the course of the tour you will have full back up
services of our staff support units from our respective Irish and U.K.
offices. Any help or advice you may require is available 24 hours seven
days a week.
