Ladybank is an exceptional heathland course with views to the Lomond Hills. Jack Nicklaus and Seve Ballesteros are honorary members of this fine club which is rated among the greatest of all Scottish inland courses.

Set among glorious avenues of beech, Scots pine and silver birch trees, further protected by swathes of heather and gorse the course presents a memorable heathland challenge. It is a long course at over 6700 yards but flat and therefore manageable. However it is said that golf clubs, let alone golf balls have been lost in the thick undergrowth by the wayward golfer.

Ladybank is a qualifying course when the Open is held at St. Andrews.

The British Golf Museum at St Andrews is a must for any golfer.

The historic town of St Andrews offers a pleasant way to while away a few hours.

Not far away is Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother. With its fairytale turrets it epitomises the romance of the Scottish castle.

Dundee has much of interest, including the historic quay, where you can see the Discovery, on which Captain Scott made his epic journey to the Antartic in 1901.
