Located
in the heart of Killarney Town is the Killarney Park Hotel.
Perfectly positioned in its own grounds, facing the the delightful
town of Killarney. This is a place revered in song and poetry
down the ages and a friendlier people you could not meet. The
whole catchment area is soaked in history. The town centre is
on your doorstep and conveniently located to a great variety
of championship golf courses in the area.
This
family run hotel has a wonderful mix of classic good looks with
modern style. As you enter the hotel you are welcomed by huge
open fires surrounded by invitingly grouped sofas and chairs.
There is a wonderful Victorian feel which is enhanced by the
sweeping staircase that leads to the bedrooms.
There
are 73 rooms in total, ranging from deluxe rooms to large luxurious
suites. Each of the rooms is individually decorated in a contemporary
country house style, with great attention to detail. Each one
has air conditioning, an in-room safe, private entrance hall
and sitting area with fireplace, creating a home away from home
feeling. There are subtle small differences at the Killarney
Park that make it the relaxing haven that it is.
Dining
and drinking at the Killarney Park is a pleasure, starting with
a pre-dinner drink at the Garden Bar or on the terrace on a
fine day. It is a lovely comfortable bar where the locals like
to come and socialise. The restaurant is a large and opulent
room with an ornate ceiling, heavy drapes and grand paintings
– it is hard to believe this room is only 10 years young.
The
Killarney Park is striving to get everything right and then
as each season begins, tries to do everything even better. They
are constantly endeavouring to improve and raising the benchmark
for hotels throughout the land. We cannot recommend highly enough
the Killarney Park experience.
