This
course has two dissimilar nines where the front nine is flat,
the back nine is a veritable rollercoaster ride with shades of
Ballybunion. Glorious dunes and panoramic views of the coast make
it a spectacular experience.
Hillside
links shares the very same turf as Royal Birkdale and in both
cases its extremely difficult to put one above the other.

I actually think Hillside is better. You are totally surrounded
by beauty when you begin playing on those enormous dunes. Hillside
can be breathtaking”. If you're unsure, play both.
