the amazing bird life at St Abb's Head,where
between May and July the dramatic cliffs are home to more
than 70,000 nesting seabirds, especially guillemots and
razor bills. Seals and puffins may also be seen offshore

at East Fortune airfield, on of the best preserved wartime
aerodromes in Britain
Tantallan
Castle,
protected on 3 sides by 100' cliffs, the former stronghold
of the "Red Douglases", a family notorious for
murder, plunder and treason. |
There
are three courses at Gullane Golf Club 1, 2 & 3 with seven
courses on this marvellous stretch of Scottish east coast
links. The No. 1 course is the most famous at Gullane and
an Open qualifying course. The climb up the Gullane Hill is
well worth the effort for the views across the Firth of Forth
to Edinburgh and over the famous links of Muirfield nearby.
As an open links course with very few trees, it’s easy
to underestimate Gullane.
