The
golf course is a Robert Trent Jones Senior design. Mr. Jones
was well into his 80’s when he agreed to sculpt the Adare
Manor course. It is his 2nd Irish design, following the Cashen
Course at Ballybunion, it also turned out to be his last.
It has four tees on every hole with a championship yardage of
7,138 declining to 5,082 yards. This beautiful parkland course
has one of the finest back nines in the country and Robert Trent
Jones Snr. is noted to have proclaimed the 18th hole, a par
5 dogleg over water with the Manor as a back drop, his finest
finish. The golf course roams over 230 acres and is the centrepiece
of a wonderful 5 star hotel and resort.
